This position is located: 81st Readiness Division, Area Maintenance Support Activity 161 (AMSA), located in Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico.
Description of the Working Environment: Work is performed in a maintenance shop setting
Duties
Plan work schedules.
Establish deadlines and priorities.
Assign tasks to employees and make adjustments as necessary.
Review work for accuracy and compliance with standards.
Investigate and correct productivity problems for an efficient work environment.
Identify training needs of employees.
Provide instruction, direction and guidance to employees.
Counsel employees on problems and/or complaints and union representation.
Initiate proposals for disciplinary actions.
Schedule and approve leave.
Interview candidates for vacant positions and provide recommendations for selection.
Develop performance standards.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a Class A CDL within 90 days of employment.
- This position is subject to Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.
- This position requires a medical examination prior to employment.

Working Conditions: Work may be performed inside or outside. When outside, subject to variable weather conditions. When inside, subject to drafts, dirt, grease and fumes. Subject to burns, scrapes, cuts, bruises, shocks and strains while performing work.
