Duties

As a/an Enforcement Analyst, you will: Provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to agency management, federal partners and the public on lead-based paint regulations and Healthy Homes issues including but not limited to Mold, Carbon Monoxide and Radon. Provide technical guidance on the operational phases of lead-based paint hazard detection and control including facilitating start-up activities, monitoring implementation, evaluating performance and products, solving problems, providing technical guidance to HUD offices and the regulated community and increasing the knowledge base of contractors. Make recommendations for nationwide policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure regulatory compliance with the Lead-Based Paint Disclosure Rule and the Lead Safe Housing Rule and issues related to Healthy Housing. Provide input on legislation on healthy homes and lead-based paint regulations and comment on or give suggestions on proposed regulations and public notices.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Analyzing policy and developing options and recommendations for new or revised policies and procedures related to Lead-Based Paint regulations and Healthy Homes issues. AND - Providing technical assistance and enforcement strategy recommendations to program areas. AND - Analyzing issues/problems, developing strategies, and presenting solutions to senior management and high-level officials, orally and in writing. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
