Duties
Leads by example to shape and sustain a working environment conducive to the successful performance of those entrusted to their leadership and direction. Responsible for providing direct oversight of planning, directing, initiating, and implementing a comprehensive marketing program for Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS). Develops and implements integrated marketing plans and strategies for all business operations and programs in coordination with other departments. Responsible for the commercial sponsorship program, ensuring advertising is accomplished as required by Memorandum of Agreements and / or sponsorship contractual obligation. Plans, coordinates, and conducts market research, including demographics, surveys, focus groups, etc.

Qualifications
Successful completion of a 4-year course of study in marketing or related field leading to a bachelor¿s degree from an accredited college or university. Plus four years of experience that demonstrates a professional knowledge of market research, public relations, advertising, and event marketing; or a minimum of eight years of professional experience demonstrating the same is required. Knowledge of NAF policies and procedures preferred. Ability to lead by example, providing motivation and encouraging creative and innovative solutions to further the mission. Supervise and coordinate the work of a subordinate staff. Demonstrated experience using a variety of marketing media and methods, such as graphic arts, design, illustrations, photographs, computers, broadcast, and other visual media. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, and strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate and work closely with all levels of personnel, and senior military and internal and external civilian officials.The incumbent is required to file an annual Confidential Financial Disclosure Form OGE 450 to avoid conflict of interest or to carry out the purpose of any statute, executive order, or regulation applicable to or administered by the employee.This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. Occasional weekend and evening hours are required.
