This position serves as an Accounting Technician at the Clinton Indian Health Center located in Clinton, Oklahoma. The position performs accounts receivable support functions for the patient account system, assuring an efficient and timely system of posting and collections of thirdparty resources. This position reports to the Business Office Manager at the Clinton Service Unit.
Duties
Performs Accounts Receivable support functions for the patient account system.
Responsible for ensuring all auto postings are accurately posted with contractual adjustment closeouts.
Reconciles with area office on a daily basis ensuring all deposits are accounted for.
Implement and train new staff on automated posting for Medicaid, Medicare, Private Insurance and Point of Sale files.
Downloads daily deposits from the online banking institution.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector. Examples include assisting with preparing daily collection for batching; posting payments and/or adjustments; following-up on outstanding claims; assisting with debt management processes; and assisting with reconciliation of Treasury Deposit Number (TDN) and WebFRS.
OR Four (4) years of education above the high school level.
OR A combination of education and experience that when combined fully meet the minimum qualifications for this position. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for GS-05 grade level.
GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector. Examples include: preparing daily collection for batching and batching reconciliation; posting payments and/or adjustments and maintaining the adjustments report; following-up on outstanding claims; debt management processes; and reconciliation for Treasury Deposit Number (TDN) and WebFRS.???????
