The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the unit Data Records Manager to compile, analyze, formulate, audit, & presents reports for data driven decision making. The work involves the creation, dissemination, research, storage, and disposition of transportation documents that consist of Dept of Defense (DoD), Air Force (AF) & Air Mobility Command (AMC) forms.
Duties
Manages the Aerial Ports database and verifies all passenger, cargo, and mail transportation related documentation for accuracy.
Compiles, formulates, and audits transportation reports. Collects and analyzes statistical data for daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports used for local briefings, and transmission to Headquarters Air Mobility Command.
Creates and maintains Consolidated Flight Package (CFP) and Manifest Registers ensuring all applicable documentation is compiled for each mission.
Prepares and maintains local database, spreadsheets, and automated processing files used for critical data collection and billing.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, Transportation Clerk and Assistant Series, 2102
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-06, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes extensive knowledge of transportation regulations, methods, and practices to perform a wide variety of interrelated or nonstandard transportation support assignments and resolve a wide range of problems. Comprehensive knowledge of the Air Mobility Command's transportation systems as well as skills and ability to interpret and apply computer-generated products is required. Knowledge of report preparation and skill in analyzing factual information to document deficiencies or areas of noncompliance and make recommendations for actions. Knowledge of automated transportation systems to reconcile errors that require an understanding of nonstandard transportation procedures, or to provide subject-matter assistance in the development of automated transportation procedures and preparing and obtaining management reports. Knowledge of a variety of transportation functional areas and their relationship to other functions to investigate complaints or errors that require, for example, reconstructing and reconciling incomplete information, conducting extensive and exhaustive searches for required information, or performing actions of similar complexity. Must have the knowledge and ability to apply the mathematical and statistical tools necessary to compile numerical data and develop management indicator reports both of a recurring and nonrecurring nature. Knowledge of office automation function, such as storing and retrieving documents or files; printing documents; inserting and deleting text items; producing letters and memorandums; entering data and creating spreadsheets; and transmitting and receiving electronic mail.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-06 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Extensive knowledge in the functionality of military air and surface air transportation computer systems and Aerial Port of Embarkation and Debarkation operations. Systems include Global Air Transportation Execution System, Cargo Movement Operating System, Integrated Data Environment & Global Transportation Network Convergence (IGC), National Radio Frequency-ITV systems and various office automation software.
Knowledge of the Record and Information Management Program, applicable Federal and Public Laws/Executive Orders/DOD Directives/Air Force Instructions, and National Archives and Records Administration guidelines and polices governing life-cycle management of records to include electronic records and information.
Must have knowledge and ability to apply mathematical and statistical tools necessary to compile numerical data, and develop management indicator reports both of a recurring and non-recurring basis.
Must have extensive knowledge and application of Department of Defense and Air Mobility Command directives, regulations, and Aerial Port special operating procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to analyze, correlate, and evaluate transportation information for input into automated data systems.
Skill in typing; a qualified typist is required.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
