Duties
Supervises NA-2 employees in one or more of the following duties: Cleans offices, storerooms, corridors, stairways, and other areas. Sweeps, dry mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors, using brooms, mops, lightweight vacuum cleaners, and lightweight floor scrubbers and buffers. Dusts, waxes, and polishes furniture. Empties ashtrays and wastebaskets. Polishes door knobs and other metal fixtures. Washes walls, windows, and blinds that can be reached without climbing ladders or scaffolds.

Qualifications
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Must possess leadership ability and be able to clearly communicate general and specific instructions. The work requires knowledge and experience of custodial work. Must be able to perform simple math and administrative functions accurately, and adhere to organizational policy. Ability to use common cleaning tools and light weight vacuum cleaners. RESPONSIBILITY: Completes work assignments without direction and carries out assignments independently. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Exerts light physical effort in doing such tasks as using vacuum cleaners and dry mops; running lightweight powered scrubbers and buffers; continually standing, bending, stooping, and reaching; frequently lifting and emptying wastebaskets and frequently pushing carts. Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs. independently and objects over 45 lbs. with assistance.WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed indoors, in areas which normally have adequate heat, light and ventilation. Work involves exposure to dirt and disagreeable odors. Normally, there is a chance only of minor injuries.
