You will serve as an End Item Logistic Management Specialist for management of 2S cognizance programs for Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) owned material. This position is with the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) in the 2S Cog/Gas Turbine Life Cycle Support Branch, Code 423 of the Propulsion Division, Code 42.

Duties

You will collect, analyze and verify data supporting program and non-program type requirements. You will maintain communication and coordinate with external sponsors to ensure that functions performed are consistent with customer requirements. You will maintain and update requirement plans to ensure timely delivery of material for support of new construction ships and ships overhaul. You will coordinate with scheduling activities to effect End Item replacement schedule changes, to accommodate current/projected asset posture, for procurement/refurbishment cost avoidance You will prepare, submit, and defend budget requests. You will perform oversight of reimbursed funding, including budget estimating, monthly monitoring and reporting functions. You will track funding expenditures to ensure funds are received, certified and obligated according to plan.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing supportability requirements (e.g., procurements, determining alternatives, weighing trade-offs) to ensure serviceable equipment is available and on the ship.
