USDA RD is seeking a Grants Management Specialist to assist with outreach, site visits, environmental reviews, grant and loan processing, electronic filing, compliance reviews, and assistance to applicants for Rural Development programs. Duties

Provide guidance to grant recipients and interested parties on program procedures and requirements for submitting applications. Works with State Office Business Program Director to schedule and identify priorities related to program Stays abreast of program regulations, guidelines, changes, and timelines. Work with designated staff to resolve eligibility, processing, or servicing issues as requested Provide advice, exchange information, make complex financial arrangements, resolve problems, and coordinate outreach efforts.

Requirements

  • You must be a US Citizen or US National.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. GS-9 level: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07; or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates experience assisting in the coordination of funding actions that begin the grant agreement process. Experience providing with the administration of the grants portfolio and assisting with activities related to monitoring grants. OR Master's or degree OR 2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree, if related OR a combination of education as described and specialized experience. GS-11 level: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09; or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates experience reviewing grant applications for accuracy to ensure compliance with procedural and regulatory guidelines. Experience assisting with completion of grant program evaluations to ensure the programs effectively carried out and consistent with National or State policy and procedures. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related OR a combination of education as described and specialized experience.
