Duties

Research regulatory and historical background and develops inspection objectives, methodology, scope and plan and assigns workload to subordinate inspectors. Conduct inspections identifying root causes of issues and recommends corrective actions and action agencies. Develop detailed daily inspection plan determining appropriate staff/personnel to inspect. As an Assistant Inspector General (IG) UP AR 20-1, determines the state of economy, efficiency, discipline, morale, esprit de corps, and readiness throughout the command. Provide objective and impartial assessments of the operational and administrative effectiveness of inspected activities. Receive and process requests for assistance. Research regulatory and historical background and develop inspection objectives, methodology, scope and plan. Assign workload to subordinate inspectors.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
