You will serve as a Education Services Facilitator/Spouse Employment Assistance Program Manager in the Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) of NAS PATUXENT RIVER.
Duties
You will be responsible for the deliver of a wide variety of education services to FFSC customers in a group or classroom setting.
You will be responsible for the development, implementation, evaluation, and overall maitenance of FFSC courses.
You will liaison with appropriate local government and non-government agencies to further a comprehensive education program with regard to social services affecting military personnel.

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, implementing, and administering education services/programs to active duty service members and assisting spouses in finding employment; 2) Evaluating information to assess strengths, weaknesses and needs of a serviced population to establish program goals, objectives and procedures; and 3) Providing consultation to leadership about an organization's quality of life programs. **NOTE: This information must be supported in your resume to be considered for the position.

BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:
Applicants must possess a degree that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position
OR
A Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE:
Additionally, three years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree OR Ph.D. OR equivalent doctoral degree or a combination of experience and graduate level education which, when combined, is equivalent to 100% of the total requirement may be used to satisfy the specialized experience requirement.
COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements.
