As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.The Deputy Director is responsible for providing senior level leadership of all ASH programs nationwide including day-to-day direction of office operations.
Duties
The incumbent is responsible, through subordinate managers, for the day-to-day direction and supervision of program and office operations. Integrates work of multiple organizations to meet strategic goals of the organization and the FAA, participates in strategic planning for the FAA, and makes commitments (program, budget, etc.) for a major organization. Provides leadership and oversight for the planning, coordination, direction, implementation and assessment of ASH's Finance & Budget; Learning & Talent Development; Workforce Services, Employee Engagement & Internal Communication, and Business Services & Security Solutions.

- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
- Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-K, FG/GS-15 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE IS DEFINED AS:Experience developing an organization's strategic workforce plan, monitoring and assessing its performance and providing recommendations for improvement.Experience serving as a management liaison with senior executive personnel within the immediate organization.Experience providing management advisory assistance to high-level (Director- and Executive-level) managers on areas including program direction, budget and performance, succession planning, resource management/prioritization and/or policy oversight.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
