Performs a wide variety of administrative, analytical, logistical, mission support activities, personnel management, and process control protocols.The position carries out automation and integration activities in support of the Personnel Security Directorate. The incumbent is a technical expert on the process and management of organization activities supporting the Personnel Security Directorate leadership.
Duties
This announcement is open to: All current career or career conditional DoD employees who live or reside in the Fort Meade local commuting area, which includes the District of Columbia and Baltimore City; Maryland counties of Anne Arundel, Prince George,Montgomery, Howard, Harford, Charles, Calvert, Carroll, Frederick and Baltimore; Adams County in Pennsylvania; Virginia counties of Arlington and Fairfax and all cities existing in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania within the geographic area bounded by the outer boundaries of the combined areas of the aforementioned counties.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG12 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes:
1. Develops administrative and business plans, procedures and guidelines for manpower, personnel training and education programs.
2. Oversees performance management evaluations of agency emergency management, manpower and SOPs to determine organizational/program compliance with legislation, agency regulations, procedures and practices
3. Applies the principles, methods, practices and techniques of government protocol management and business etiquette for cross functional interface with high-level technical experts for Department of Defense and government agencies.
4. Assesses and improves complex management/business processes and systems for Security/Emergency management programs.
