Duties
Ensures that the organization’s strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team’s strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services
Articulates and communicates to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and /or program issues under review, and deadlines and timeframes for completion
Monitors and reports on the status and progress of work, checking on work in progress and reviewing completed work to see that the supervisor’s instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines and quality have been met
Develops and enriches Demand Planning projects for moderate to highly complex or critical customers/items by combining the elements of statistical forecasts, Collaborative Demand Plans,-
-intelligence provided by the CAMs and Weapons System Support Managers (WSSMs), collaborative data, product demand intelligences, and prior accurate statistical forecasts/Demand Plans
Uses forecast accuracy assessments to focus efforts on critical and low performing forecasts
Meets with customers to understand the customer; anticipated requirements for DLA products, and to gain knowledge of factors that may influence those requirements

Qualifications
To qualify for a Lead Inventory Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Communicating the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values to a team
Assisting team members in exploring alternatives and determining appropriate improvements that can be made (work methods, processes and procedures)
Creating a Demand Plan for moderate to highly complex/critical customers or items
Selecting the most appropriate forecast model/planning methodology
Works a variety of analytical duties using planning data systems and software such as Excel to plan projects to meet customer requirements, track project performance, and extract information to draw conclusions and present results to business partners and senior leadership
Identifying collaborative partners from the vendor and customer communities
Training team members in team building methods for accomplishing individual/team tasks

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
