The duties of this position are for the Environmental Management Service. It encompasses the full range of cleaning duties for an area of the Medical Center as assigned by the Supervisor which includes: Relocation/delivery of furniture, furniture moving, storage, replacing and removal for Medical Centers, using gasoline, diesel or electric powered wheeled vehicles, box truck, hand trucks and includes maintenance of equipment.
Duties
Furniture delivery, moving, storage, replacing, and removing
Transport clean linen and soiled linen on a daily basis as needed
Operates and performs maintenance on motor vehicle weighting up to 10,000 pounds at highway speeds
Assists with recycling program by picking up recyclables, baling recyclables, or placing in recycle container
Vehicle inspections and associated paperwork
Responsible for sensitive paper bin switch out as well as picking up sensitive paper in designated area
Sanitizes trailers after soiled linen has been transported
Vehicles transport supplies or equipment over Federal, state and county roads and city streets in all traffic conditions
Transports equipment over public roads in both rural and urban areas.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Operates vehicles of all types of weather and traffic conditions.
