About the position: This position is located at Outdoor Recreation on F.E. Warren AFB, Wyoming.
This position is considered Flexible and is guaranteed zero hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours per week. You may be required to work some nights, weekends and holidays. Flexible employees are not eligible for leave or benefits.
The starting pay for this position is $19.25 per hour.
Duties
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performs routine inspections and maintenance on bicycles.
Reconditions, adjusts, and tunes ODR bicycles and customer bicycles.
Replaces broken parts with new parts.
Informs Director of part quantities needed for repairs.
Disassembles and replaces or repairs mechanical components using appropriate tools.
Assists with other routine maintenance on other types of check-out equipment.
Demonstrates proper use of bicycle equipment and instructs others on techniques for safe and proper operation.
Assists with ordering replacement parts, resale components, and accessories from outside vendors.
Maintains and inventories stock of repair parts and tools; reports inventory to management as needed.
Cleans and stores equipment in designated locations and provides instructions to patrons on the use of equipment.
Maintains cleanliness and order in the repair and storage area.
Provides quotes for repair and maintenance of customer's equipment and services all equipment in a timely fashion.
Performs other related duties as assigned, assisting with Outdoor Recreation activities as needed.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a Tier 1 NACI background investigation with favorable results.
- This position has a physical lifting requirement which requires the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Qualifying Experience:
Practical knowledge of recreation equipment and its use.
Skill and knowledge required in the repair and maintenance of bicycles and other recreation equipment.
Must be able to read and understand service manuals.
Must keep current on product models and be familiar with up-to-date equipment, styles, and safety practices.
Physical Effort: Regularly bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, standing, and working in awkward positions. Frequently lifting and carrying objects ranging from 40 to 60 pounds. Must be willing to be exposed to dust, grease, chemical solvents, possible bruises and cuts/abrasions.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
