This position is located in Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park in the Facility Management Division. This is a Career-Conditional Full-time appointment. Duties

As a Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor, you will perform the following duties: Provides professional and technical support and knowledge on utilities, trades, and crafts such as electrical, HVAC, potable water system operation, drainage, storm and sanitary sewer systems, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, painting, trails, groundskeeping and janitorial services. Performs various administrative functions as a supervisor, such as preparing personnel packages for recruitment, classification, on- and off-boarding, etc.; preparing and implementing short term work plans; providing input to higher level managers on long-term planning, assigning, directing Serves as Project Supervisor, Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), and/or Agreements Technical Representative (ATR) on facility related projects. Supervises all routine building and utility maintenance, roads and trail maintenance activities at Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park (CHCH) Coordinates frequent changes in variety and volume in the workload and provide accurate analysis of work needs to determine whether to perform work in-house or through contract.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Lead Or Supervise (Screen out) Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading) Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc. Knowledge of Materials Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) Use of Measuring Instruments If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.
