You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (CUSTOMER SUPPORT) within NAVAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will serve as the Customer Support Point of Contact (POC) For Enterprise customers in assigned geographic Area of Responsibility (AOR).
You will serve as a System Administrator for Enterprise users and users in assigned geographic AOR. In this role, follows processes and executes procedures for ITSM tool tickets assigned to the Service Desk.
You will perform installation activities and works with internal and external IT groups to resolve integration issues related to the implementation of new systems and hardware with existing infrastructure.
You will be responsible for carrying out all actions associated with the receipt, handling, issuing, safeguarding, accounting and disposition of all COMSEC material assigned to the Local Element.
You will ensure communication and collaboration with Command Contract Technical Representatives (CTR) for all matters related to NMCI.
You will perform other duties as assigned.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 411 Technical Support Specialist, level Advanced, incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Providing timely support and assistance to a customer base requiring Secure Telephone Equipment (STE) and vIPer secure phone services to include High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) and Inline Network Encryptor (INE) (e.g., KG-175 Family) service functions.
2) Applying skills in Government Communication Security (COMSEC).
3) Providing IT problem management methods and practices as well as implementing new and innovative customer support methods and technologies sufficient to plan, implement, and manage problem management systems designed to effectively recognize, report, track, and
resolve problems.
