Serves as the General Manager (GM) in the ATO; Air Traffic Services; Western Service Area, Denver District.Directly responsible for the En-route and Terminal Air Traffic Managers and for all area control operational activities.
Duties
The incumbent facilitates the integration of air traffic services in his/her assigned area and advocates the tactical use of concepts and technologies to advance the strategic goals of the Air Traffic Organization (ATO) and the FAA. He/she is responsible for coordinating the operational functions found within these facilities and across the service area. He/she is also responsible for coordinating policies with the Deputy Directors of System Operations, Regional and Service Area Managers as well as other senior officials.

- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
- Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
- MUST complete and submit the first page of FAA Form 3330-43.
- A one-year supervisory probationary period may be required.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position you:1. Must have held an FAA 2152 FG-14/FV-J or above regional or headquarters position for at least 1 year (52 weeks);OR2. Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility (NOTE: An employee who has been facility-rated or area-certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility that is upgraded is considered to meet the qualification requirements of the upgraded position, since he/she has been performing the higher-graded work);OR3. Must have held a MSS position or above for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility.4. In addition to the qualifications listed above for this MSS-4 position, you must have held the MSS-3 or above; or an FG-2152-14 or above Regional or Headquarters position for 1 year (52 weeks).
