You will serve as a ITSPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/CUSTSPT in the Marine Corps District, Recruiting Station Division of 1ST MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will install operating systems of cybersecurity in the Areas of Operations.
You will research and track customer software inquiries.
You will track, manage, and report equipment inventories.
You will configure and troubleshoot hardware, software, printing, multi-function devices, telephone systems (to include Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) and VTC) and wireless mobile devices.
You will evaluate, research and report trends in customer support issues, create, track and manage Service Desk Tickets and data.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Information Assurance Level II certification.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You may be required to lift/carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.in addition to relevant specialized experience below:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: verifying hardware and software and equipment are in accordance with DOD policy and directives.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Maintaining customer hardware and resolving software problems in response to customer reported incidents.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT related experience demonstrating this competency include: Working with personnel to plan, coordinate and resolve issues by influencing people to work towards mutual goals and have basic cooperative attitudes.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Troubleshooting, diagnosing hardware/software interoperability problems by repairing and applying software patches. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Installing and troubleshooting customer hardware and software to ensure security is maintained through Information Assurance such as network access and end points.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education as follows:
Master's degree or equivalent graduate degreeor2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree.
Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
