You will serve as a LEAD EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in the Material Planning Division (Code 244.2) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Duties

You will be responsible for development and maintenance of the Material Planning Divisions Qualification Cards and coordination for all technical levels within the Engineering and Planning Department. You will independently and accurately perform periodic audits, analysis, and identification of material problems, determine root causes and identify necessary solutions for material support processes. You will establish overall goals, resources, and funding requirements. You will check work in progress of assigned projects and provide status, improvement actions, resource requirements, justifications, and technical explanations to senior management. You will provide technical work leader expertise to division personnel for complex technical matters regarding material identification, support objectives and strategies and process improvements. You will perform other duties as assigned by the Material System Analysis Support Branch Head or the Material Planning Division Head, Chief Engineer or Planning and Engineering Officer.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing material ordering procedures as related to review technical requirements required by drawing additionally able to read, interpret, understand and apply instructions, drawings, and regulations and prepare briefs and training materials for presentation to teams and branch.
