The Airway Transportation Systems Specialist (ATSS) at this level is recognized as the subject matter expert in their field. All duties of an ATSS are tied to maintaining safe and efficient operating capacity of the vast & complex network of electronics systems required for the world's largest air traffic control and navigation system.Serves as an ATSS (Environmental/Power Systems)

Duties

Serves as an ATSS (NAS Area Specialist), in a Service Operations Center (SOC). Performs a variety of functions directly relating to the operations of the NAS. Focus is on the availability and reliability of the services and products provided to users of the NAS.

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required.
• Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
• Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
• Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
• Supervisory Endorsement is REQUIRED if movement to this position will be a promotion.
• MUST possess a valid driver's license

Qualifications

To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level of (Pay Band H/Level III or equivalent). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience is extensive knowledge of and experience in technology system interrelationships and management of civilian or military aviation, radar, and electronic systems. Generally, experience at the next lower level (Pay Band H/Level III or equivalent), meets the minimum qualifications for this position as long as the experience supports the DEMONSTRATED ABILITIES identified below.In addition to your resume, in the space provided under each Demonstrated Ability, you MUST provide a NARRATIVE justification on how you meet the this ability.
