This position is located at the Sisseton Service Unit of the IHS within the Great Plains Area of Indian Health Service. The dual purpose of this position is to operate motor vehicles in conducting clinical business and to perform a full range of housekeeping cleaning tasks.

Duties

Operates and maintains the cleanliness of such vehicles as pickup trucks, carryalls, automobiles, ambulances, and station wagons, to transport patients, personnel, and/or supplies (including x-ray films and lab specimens) to and from designated locations. Responsible for the management of the Service Unit's GSA Vehicle Fleet. Responsible to ensure that all GSA vehicles are properly maintained and ensures scheduled preventive maintenance are performed. Responsible for the safe transport of equipment, supplies and patients. Insures that cargo is protected from weather. Vacuums, dusts, mop floors, stairways, corridors, wards, utility rooms, offices, employee's lounges, bathrooms and other assigned areas daily. Scrubs and cleans commodes, urinals, washstands; and fixtures, mirrors, soap dispensers and paper and venetian blinds
