This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), Federal Records Center (FRC). Under the supervision of FRC's Director, and working closely with Operations Branch (AFO) and facility management personnel, this position has responsibility for managing and coordinating the functions relating to the creation, control, transfers, security, storage, maintenance, and disposition of federal records carried out at the facility.
Duties
As a Supervisory Archives Specialist, you will:
Supervise a subordinate section staff, submitting reports on productivity and personnel resources expended.
Review each transfer of records proposed by agencies, including a physical review of transfers, transfer request review, ARCIS data review, and review of others' work as they perform these functions.
Interpret and apply authorized disposition standards to Federal records.
Analyze Federal Records Center operations and Federal agency policies, procedures, and programs

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-11, you must have one year specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-9 grade level that is directly related to the position and has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience for this position includes records lifecycle monitoring and communicating with external customers regarding the retrieval of records.
Examples of this may include:
Leading a small component of a team, program, or project; OR
Analyzing records storage methods to preserve records; OR
Developing and implementing plans and procedures to maximize space utilization of record storage.
OR
EDUCATION: You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to such a degree, or LL.M., if related. Education must be in a related field of study.
OR
COMBINATION: You may qualify on a combination of education and experience. Options for combining education and experience will be defined in the online assessment.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-11, you must have been at the GS-09level for 52 weeks.
