THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a HR SPEC, Position Description Number T5910700 and is part of the 53 TROOP COMMAND, National Guard.
This is an Indefinite Position.
This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.
Duties
As a HR SPEC, GS-0201-09, you will perform assigned personnel management duties for a specified functional or organizational area in two or more of the specialized personnel series.
Requirements
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles, candidates must have a valid state driver’s license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
- For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.

- Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1 year equivalent to at least GS-7. Must have experience with two or more specific personnel management specialties to independently perform routine personnel management functions. Must have knowledge of the organizational structure, and programs of assigned areas to provide advice to management. Must have the ability to prepare reports to convey basic personnel information. Must have experience providing personnel management services to an assigned organizational unit or in an assigned functional area.
Education
If you are using Education to qualify for this position, master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
