About the Position: Position located at US Army Cadet Command, 3rd Brigade, Southern Illinois University located in Edwardsville, Illinois.
Duties
Utilizes various automated computer/software applications to prepare documents involving supply transactions, management reports and logistics.
Provides staff assistance in all areas of supply and logistics management for the SROTC Program and affiliates within the Task Force structure.
Forecasts, requests and manages the Operations and Maintenance, Army (OMA) and Military Personnel, Army (MPA) budgets for the host program and affiliates within the task force structure.
Accounts for property and manages various classes of supplies at the host and affiliated programs.
Requirements
- May require Armor duties.
- May be required to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazardous Material Endorsement (HAZMAT).
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- TDY 30% (Position may require 6-12 weeks TDY in support of USACC Cadet Summer training at Fort Knox).
- This position requires a pre-employment physical.
- This position requires a pre-employment drug test.
- This position requires a valid state driver's license.
- This position requires a Lautenberg Amendment.
- Moderate lifting of 50 pounds or more is required.
- May be required to complete a one-year trial period.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience at the GS-06 level is defined as: Ensures record management files are properly maintained; Follow procedures to inspect supplies or equipment for discrepancies; Operates automated word processing equipment with hardware and software components to prepare a variety of material including correspondence, forms, reports, etc; Maintains property book in accordance with applicable regulations.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
