About the Position: You will serve as an Administrative Support Assistant (OA) in the USACE Transatlantic Middle East District, Winchester, VA, performing a wide variety of organizational projects and assignments for the assigned working groups, and team members.

Duties

As a Office Support Assistant (OA) you will maintain current and up-to-date knowledge of administrative regulations, guidance, established Middle East District operational procedures. Provide advice and guidance on administrative matters necessary to assure the implementation and application of established operational procedures. Perform administrative support work on the basis of broad experience and familiarity with the assigned working groups’ missions, applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and pertinent precedent cases. Create work items/resource plans to accept funds, training requests, trainee’s evaluation and obtain necessary access permissions. Make appointments for visitors with supervisors, maintain various working group calendars (including a master leave calendar), and ensure these calendars align with the Division Calendar(s).

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors.
