About the Position: Serves under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Supervisor specializing in the evaluation and quality control of Letterkenny Munitions Center (LEMC) maintenance operations.

Duties

Study cover processes, procedures, functional operations, and quality management operations of maintenance, supply, and their support organizations. Serve as advisor to the Quality Assurance Supervisor regarding the application of these controls, their effectiveness, and the impact on the Letterkenny Munitions Center (LEMC) production/mission. Develop evaluation procedures for assigned work area, processes, and determines the methods and techniques to be employed in these evaluations. Responsible for final acceptance of all assets produced for assigned production lines. Provide technical guidance/assistance to other LEMC Quality Assurance (QA) or Quality Control (QC) specialists. Plan and develop the LEMC AS9100/AS9110 internal audit and surveillance inspection schedule. Conduct Measurement System Analysis(MSA), collects quality data, uses Statistical Process Control(SPC) analysis to detect unsatisfactory trends or conditions and weaknesses in the quality system. Interpret drawings, specifications, schematics, and technical manuals to establish procedures for performing audits and inspections. Coordinate and provides technical advice to other organizations to affect corrective action. Coordinate with the LEMC Quality Manager ensuring all Quality programs are synchronized with Aerospace AS9100 and Aerospace AS9110 Quality Management System certification requirements.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment.
  • The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment physical examination and an annual examination thereafter.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.

OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Chain Management or Logistics. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
