About the Position: Serve as Cost Analyst for the Resource Management Office responsible for a cost control environment for the Installation Management Command at Fort Myer-Henderson Hall, US Army Garrison Fort Myer, Virginia.

Duties

Cost analyst for Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall United States Army Garrison responsible for a cost control environment for the Installation Management Command. Responsible for supporting decision making, planning and control for the Installation Management Command’s strategic goals. Analyzing and making recommendations for day-to -day adjustments when unusual accounting problems arise. Responsible for audit reviews and submissions. Responsible for prior year cost adjustments and coordination to secure funds. Responsible for cancelling year-end unliquidated obligations. Interpret the Independent Government Cost Estimate (IGCE) information to determine relevance of costing information included in contract requirement submissions. Use accounting and Management Information Systems (MISs) such as Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Standard Finance System (STANFINS), IMCOM Online (IOL) and other information systems. Serve as a Defense Travel System (DTS) administrator and Government Travel Card (GTC) coordinator for the Command and supported units.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
  • THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position designated.
  • Temporary duty (TDY) business travel may be required up to 10% of the time. This does not include TDY associated with individual training or local travel.

Providing cost analysis using accounting and budget principles to support decision making, planning, and control of mission funding. 2. Making day-to-day adjustments to funding when unusual accounting problems arise in accordance with laws and regulations, 3. Interpreting the Independent Government Cost Estimate (IGCE) information to determine relevance of costing information included in contract requirement submissions, and 4. Executing General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and other resource management information systems to maintain accountability of mission funds. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
