You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the ???????NAVBASE GUAM FORCE PROTECTION of NAVBASE GUAM FORCE PROTECTION.

Duties

You will advise the Program Director and the Commanding Officer on all matters pertaining to installation security, waterfront security, force protection, and antiterrorism programs. You will coordinate on issues that relate to policy, resources and program direction. You will plan, mages, coordinate implement and direct an effective security program that includes waterfront security, physical security, law enforcement, antiterrorism force protection and loss prevention programs. You will organize plans, direct, coordinates and implements procedures for crisis management of situations that pose a threat to the base. You will provide Contract Administration of the Security Departments security equipment maintenance contract. You will plan, develop and administer a total public safety program.

  • This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
  • You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license, a valid Guam Driver's license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
  • Call back emergencies overtime are requirements of the position. Must be able to attend meetings or training.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, managing and implementation of security programs, providing adequate protection against criminal activity, terrorist acts, sabotage, espionage and other unusual security threats.
