The purpose of this position is to perform Information Technology services for the Peach Springs Health Center including the Supai Health Station in Supai, Arizona. This position is located in Peach Springs, Arizona under the general supervision of the Administrative Officer, PSHC, and technical oversight from the Chief Information Officer.

Duties

Provides Information System support for the Peach Springs Health Center and the Supai Health Station. Assists with the training of staff in the technical procedures required to operate and maintain functional I.T. systems (e.g. RPMS, EHR). Install, test, maintain and upgrade network operating systems hardware and software as required. Resolve hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-2210-9: Your resume must demonstrate one year of full-time specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level that equipped me with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Examples include: knowledge and ability to apply customer service and customer support principles and methods; knowledge and ability to install, configure, upgrade and troubleshoot any hardware and software components; present formal and informal training and assistance to customers; knowledge of CACHE, Windows operating systems to include server editions, Microsoft Office applications, Active Directory, Exchange, Mumps and other programming environments; knowledge of LAN/WAN (Local Area Network/Wide Area Network) standards and equipment sufficient to install, configure and troubleshoot LAN and WAN components such as routers, switches and servers. OR Completed 2 years of graduate education from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics operations research, statistics, or technology management or a degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. (Must submit copy of transcripts). OR Completed a master's or equivalent degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management. (Must submit copy of transcripts). OR Have a combination of education and experience that when combined fully meet the minimum qualifications for this position. The total percentage equals at least 100 percent to qualify for this GS-09 grade level (Must submit copy of transcripts). GS-2210-11: Your resume must demonstrate one year of full-time specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-09 grade level that equipped me with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Examples include: work experience in a health care information technology environment, installing, configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting hardware and software components; provide hardware and software support or training to customers; knowledge of Ensemble, Windows operating systems to include server editions, Microsoft Office applications, Active Directory, Exchange, MUMPS, and other programming environments. OR Completed 3 years of graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics operations research, statistics, or technology management or a degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. (Must submit copy of transcripts). OR Completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management. (Must submit copy of transcripts). OR Have a combination of education and experience that when combined fully meet the minimum qualifications for this position. The total percentage equals at least 100 percent to qualify for this GS-09 grade level (Must submit copy of transcripts). Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
