This position is located at US Mint,Mint/HQ/Dir/Sales and Marketing Directorate. As a Market Research Specialist, you will be completing complex work. Responsibility include market research planning; overseeing the execution of market research conducted by contractors; managing the United States Mint customer satisfaction measurement program, accountable for developing and managing the market research budget for SAM and project manager for the largest market research contracts.

Duties
As a Market Research Specialist, you will:
Manage qualitative and quantitative market research work that requires expertise in: sales and market research studies and analyses; new product introduction; market intelligence; research contract management; customer satisfaction research; developing marketing plans and strategies; survey design; moderator's guide development; federal government data collection requirements; usability of primary, secondary and syndicated research; and the presentation of research findings, reports, analyses and summary data to business decision-makers.
Conduct analysis of existing or proposed SAM numismatic products, programs and services, develops and executes market research plans, analyzes conclusions and recommendations and presents findings utilizing consolidated reports, oral presentations, memoranda and other documents that address all levels of United States Mint management and executive audiences.
Serve as a project manager for major research projects or initiatives; directs broad complex long-term studies and research projects that require the application of advanced analytical and statistical methods and procedures; and is accountable for timeframes to meet established project objectives.
Qualifications

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized experience for the GS-14 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position, and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Preparing marketing research plans; AND
Designing, coordinating quantitative market research studies and analyzing the study findings; AND
Developing and presenting research reports of findings for staff and management.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks.
