Duties
You will serve as the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and is responsible for the cybersecurity for TSC programs, organizations, systems, and enclaves.
You will serve as Cyber Defense Analyst and be responsible for performing assessments of TSC systems and networks, identify where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations.
You will serve as Cyber Defense Analyst and be responsible for enclave policy, or local policy and measures effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities.
You will serve as Cyber Defense Incident Responder and is responsible for investigating, analyzing, and responding to cyber incidents within the network environment or enclave
You will develop plans, strategy, and policy to support and align with organizational TSC missions and initiatives.
You will analyze, develop, approve, and issue cybersecurity policies.
You will provide expert technical knowledge on all Information Technology (IT) security regulations, policies, and procedures.
You will prepare system documentation for complex network assignments in accordance with agency, major command, and local standards.
Requirements

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 722,531,511 level III within 12 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: creating IT order requirements and reviewing orders for appropriateness and developing a deployment and/or refresh schedule.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: providing information systems hardware and software support for end users.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: provide formal and informal training on user instructions/manuals and system operations.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: performing requirements gathering, design, development, testing, implementation, security and maintenance for systems used by customers.
For the GS-12: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting and presenting computer-related evidence in support of network vulnerability mitigation, conducting assessments of threats and vulnerabilities, assessing the level of risk, and designing information system solutions to help the organization operate more securely.
