Duties
You will serve as a Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) performing Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessments in the areas of Classified and Unclassified Navy computer systems and networks.
You will perform a complete assessment of a system's or network's security controls, known threats, and vulnerabilities.
You will complete a Security Assessment Report (SAR), in conjunction with the Security Control Assessor (SCA), based on assessment results.
You will review authorization and assurance documents to confirm the level of risk is within acceptable limits for each software application, system, and network.
You will perform security reviews and identify gaps in security architecture resulting in recommendations for inclusion in the risk mitigation strategy.
You will assure successful implementation and functionality of security requirements and appropriate Information Technology (IT) polices and procedures that are consistent with the organization's mission and goals.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Knowledge of and skill in applying information systems security principles, concepts and standards, including knowledge of new IT security developments: 2) Supports the execution, life cycle and sustainment of Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and requirements 3) Knowledge of computer and information protection specialties and facilitating technologies and hardware/software products including common operating systems, network protocols, protection software, firewall design and operation, database management systems security tools, common network devices, authentication/identification, vulnerability assessments; 5) Provides information and guidance on how to build Cyber Security (CS) protections into proposed acquisitions from earliest stages of development, through follow-on support; 6) Defines and identifies operational capabilities and design characteristics for CS elements including hardware/software and business processes.
