Qualifications
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-13 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level defined as experience applying grant management systems and methodologies to resolve issues, developing and analyzing cooperative agreements or financial reports, and developing recommendations for systems and/or business process changes.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of statutory and policy requirements applicable to assistance agreements sufficient to identify and resolve complex/controversial grants management issues.
Knowledge of assistance management methods to plan and manage long-term agreements.
Ability to gather and analyze pertinent facts and information to devise practical solutions to complex or controversial problems as it relates to grant management.
Ability to advise on grants and cooperative agreements, business processes, procedures, administrative regulations and policies.
Knowledge of state and local government agency practices regarding grants management and accounting.
Ability to lead initiatives and teams, manage complex projects, and present results to senior agency management.
Knowledge of automated data processing techniques.
Skill in written communication.
Skill in oral communication.
