You will serve as a Wood Worker in the Department of Energy (Naval Reactors) Material Office of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties
You will be responsible for the receipt, control, handling, storage, issue, and shipment of components, equipment, and material.
You will fabricate of boxes, crates, skids, pallets, frames, and storage bins made from wood or wood substitute materials.
You will operate various types of forklift trucks up to 10,000 lb. capacity, pallet jacks, hand lifts and other miscellaneous warehouse equipment.
You will verify accuracy of reactor plant materials being prepared for shipment.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Forklift certification.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Using personal computer to generate shipping labels
Entering data into a database to track work performance metrics and shipping information
Verifying that material staged by warehouse worker is correct
Resolving and researching discrepancies, and determining when requisitions are complete, accurate, and ready for shipment
Fabricating, constructing, repairing, and modifying shipping and storage containers used to protect technical manuals, repair parts, components, and equipment
Calculating and determining the weight and cube of material for consolidation into truckload shipments, arrange shipments to maximize shipping efficiencies at the least cost
