Duties

Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: Serve as a Custodial Work Inspector with the responsibility and accountability for the inspection of all phases of custodial work. Perform detailed inspections of custodial work, in progress and after completion, to ensure quality, quantity, and timeliness of work through a staggered random sampling inspection program. Maintain records (computer database), the use of small appliances in office and common space throughout the building and out-buildings. Review and interprets contract specifications with special emphasis on the inspection and related items sections. Represent the Government in minor contract disputes. Monitors the contractors personnel sign in and out logs and reports any discrepancies.

Qualifications

For qualifications determinations, it is recommended that applicants include their months and hours worked per week for each employment listed on their resume. Your background must demonstrate a full range of your ability to perform common Custodial Work Inspector tasks including conducting inspections of custodial work in progress and after completion, working under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level Custodial Inspection Worker who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. EXPERIENCE: A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. Evidence which demonstrates you possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of this position must be supported by detailed descriptions of such on your resume.
