This position is part of the Office of the Inspector General, Department of Energy in the Office of Inspections, Intelligence Oversight, and Special Projects (OIIS). As a Supervisory Inspector, you will manage and direct inspection operations at various field sites under the Deputy Assistant Inspector General for OIIS, and the Assistant Inspector General for OIIS.
Duties
As a Supervisory Inspector for the Office of Inspections, Intelligence Oversight, and Special Projects (OIIS), you will be responsible for the following:
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.

- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- May be required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 or an Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).
- Must obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.
- The position is a Drug Testing Designated position and is subject to preemployment and random drug testing.
- Will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Inspector experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service managing and directing inspection operations at various field sites. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Provide Inspection Oversight to include objective planning, workload planning, and conducting allegation-based and performance-based inspections.
Utilize written reports and in-person meetings to promote efficiency and economy of Departmental operations and programs.
Provide oversight of multiple teams conducting performance and allegation-based inspections to accomplish departmental program objectives.
