About the Position: This position is located at the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (WHINSEC) Ft. Moore, Georgia 31905. WHINSEC is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama.

Duties

Develop policies, goals, and objectives and integrates program policies and operations to ensure compliance with DoD and Accreditation Requirements. Keep abreast of new developments and regulatory guidance from Headquarters and Higher. Manage a variety of education programs through subordinate supervisors. Provide technical and administrative supervision of administrative, professional, and technical personnel engaged in directorate operations.

Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Managing and overseeing budgetary resources. 2) Evaluating the effectiveness of available resources and services in order to recommend and implement program improvement plans; 3) Implementing guidance from sources such as Department of Army (DA), Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Training & Doctrine Command (TRADOC) and other policy and authoritative guidelines that are applicable to the unit's programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementLeadershipOrganizational AwarenessOrganizational Performance AnalysisProgram Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
