This position serves as the Maintenance Mechanic for the El Reno Indian Health Center in El Reno, OK. The incumbent will perform work involved in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings and related fixtures and utilities, requiring the use of a variety of trade practices such as HVAC/R, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting and general equipment repair. Incumbent reports to the Facility Supervisor of the Clinton Service Unit.

Duties

Accomplishes routine duties and inspections on daily, weekly and monthly work assignments/schedules for works shop services, repairs, and assignments. Performing preventive maintenance operations, conducting visual examinations, and operational tests to determine the need for repair work on the upkeep of buildings, grounds, related structures, fixtures and utilities. Perform HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and ground maintenance work. Knowledge of how to use power and hand tools, and other equipment used in the various trades.
