About the Position: Assists in planning, directing, and coordinating the procedural and administrative functions of the entire staff. This is a pay banded position. The NH-II band encompasses grades GS-05-GS-11 under the General Schedule (GS) system.

Duties

Monitors, coordinates, and tracks all on-going and projected personnel actions and continuously provides management status updates. Provides advice and assistance on personnel matters in accordance with the appropriate statutes and regulatory guidance and procedures. Develops budget estimates and justifications for admin related expenses. Provides status reports to managers for consideration in estimating their budget requirements for the current and out years and prepares periodic updates as required by management.

General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level, which includes providing administrative assistance such as assisting with on-boarding processes and assisting with personnel matters; communicating effectively orally and written; and utilizing computer software to track and generate reports.. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.
