This position is located within the Fort Yuma Service Unit. Incumbent is responsible to provide services of Information Technology (IT) Specialist and Information Systems Manager. The position is responsible for the installation, daily operation, maintenance and problem resolution for multi-user and personal computer systems .The incumbent reports to the Supv IT Specialist (Chief). Position is located in Winterhaven, CA.
Duties
Major Duties:
Installing and configuring computer hardware and being point of contact for IT (Information Technology) support .
Troubleshooting and diagnosing possible hardware and software issues.
Managing and storing data using computers, software, databases, networks and servers.
Responsible for the implementation and support of multi-service software packages that automate the capture of clinical encounter information and its subsequent retrieval.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
GS-2210-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 09 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: : Work experience in a health care information technology environment, installing, configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting hardware and software components; provide hardware and software support or training to customers; knowledge of Ensemble, Windows operating systems to include server editions, Microsoft Office applications, Active Directory, Exchange, MUMPS, and other programming environments. OR
Work experience in a health care information technology environment, installing, configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting hardware and software components; provide hardware and software support or training to customers; knowledge of Ensemble, Windows operating systems to include server editions, Microsoft Office applications, Active Directory, Exchange, MUMPS, and other programming environments. OR
Completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre- accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management. (Must submit copy of transcripts).
GS-2210-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 11 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Work experience in a health care information technology environment, installing, configuring, upgrading, and troubleshooting hardware and software components. Knowledge of Ensemble, VistA Imaging (Picture Archiving and Communication System Imaging System - PACS), Windows operating systems to include server editions, Microsoft Office applications, Active Directory, Exchange, MUMPS, and other programming environments. Experience with configuration management techniques to document and control the functional and physical characteristics of VistA Imaging/VistA Radiology, clustered systems, text gateway, imaging gateways, routing gateways, optical jukeboxes and clinical procedures.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
