About the Position: This position is located with the 640th Medical Group, Buckley Air Force Base, Aurora, CO.
Duties
Facilitate administrative support tasks, such as assisting guests, organizing meetings, answering phones, or preparing materials or reports.
Carries out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
Answers emails and correspondence, schedules meetings, manages calendars, and supports visitors.
Ensures correct format, grammar, spelling, punctuation, assembly or related materials, and distribution of documents.
Screens calls and visitors to the office referring to subordinate staff members and forwarding only those calls or visitors requiring the command attention
Personally handles many requests for routine information and resolving or assisting in resolving a variety of complaints made by patients, the families, and the staff.
Maintain files and information in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 3 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.

In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience in 1) Managing schedules, calendars, travel arrangements; 2) Screening calls and visitors and reviewing incoming and outgoing correspondence; 3) Arranging high level meetings and conferences; and 4) Provides clerical and administrative support to Health Care Administration staff.
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
