Duties
As an Information Technology Specialist (Network), major duties will include:
Managing and monitoring the region-wide wide area network (WAN) Infrastructure.
Managing and monitoring the region-wide voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Radio over Internet Protocol (RoIP) hardware and software Infrastructure.
Managing and monitoring local area network (LAN) hardware and software Infrastructure for the regional office and selected parks.
Managing Internet Protocol (IP) based infrastructure projects.
Facilitating Department of Interior Enterprise Services Network (DOI/ESN) with maintaining the DOI Trusted Internet Connection
Qualifications
All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-07/03/2024-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement.
Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 for each federal position listed as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of qualifying experience that you will be granted. An award SF-50 will not be acceptable documentation for which to consider your amount of qualifying experience. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: You must have information technology (IT) related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Please ensure that your resume clearly addresses these four competencies:

In addition to meeting the basic requirements listed above, to qualify for this position at the GS-13 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: identifying and resolving difficult customer service requests; preparing and updating manuals, instructions, and operating procedures; supporting systems that involve a wide variety of different platforms, operating systems, applications, and desktop configurations; and managing a problem resolution database (reviewing, validating, and standardizing problem resolutions for inclusion in the database). You must include hours worked per week in your resume.
