This AIRCRAFT LOADMASTER (INSTRUCTOR) position is located in the Air Operations Group of an ANG flying wing assigned heavy multi-engine transport aircraft with a basic crew configuration of one pilot, one copilot and one loadmaster and is part of the CA 146 AW.

Duties

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE POSITION Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the AIRCRAFT LOADMASTER (INSTRUCTOR), GS-2185-10, is responsible for providing ground and flight training instruction for developing, upgrading, and evaluating the skills of loadmaster aircrew members; assisting the pilot in the operation of the aircraft; performing loadmaster duties on assigned missions; and accomplishing related staff work.

Qualifications

General Experience: Possess experience in functions such as preparing aircraft loading plans, loading and offloading aircraft, operating loading equipment, and ensuring security of cargo in flight. AIRCRAFT LOADMASTER (INSTRUCTOR), GS-2185-10: Must have at least 18 months experience conducts loadmaster training to ensure worldwide capability; Advising maintenance personnel of any items requiring corrective action or affecting safety of flight; Operating and regulating environmental, hydraulic, fuel, electrical, pressurization, radar, and other systems as required by the applicable flight manual; Performing staff work based on specialized knowledge of the unit's mission, assigned aircraft and the related programs to ensure safe and successful accomplishment of required training, assigned mission support and airlift support requirements.
