You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Office of ASN.
Duties
You will manages administration, processing, and reconciliation of civilian payroll/labor within Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP)
You will supports the Accounting Section, DFAS and the ERP Business Office with period end closeout (PEC) procedures for labor accruals by calculating and creating Journal Vouchers (JVs).
You will develop, run, and review various reports that are used throughout the command for labor projections, error corrections, status of funds, etc.
You will independently identifies, develops, and implements innovative methods for process improvements by using the best practices and techniques.
You will ensure that manual processes are replaced with automation when applicable.
You will use data analytics and other applications to produce required reporting in the most effective and efficient manner possible.
You will assist with training staff to ensure that the organization retains a highly knowledgeable and skilled workforce that can provide a superior level of service to the organization and external agencies
You will briefs leadership and individuals internal and external to the organization on labor.
You will use accounting system for the entire BSO by coordinating with subordinate Comptroller Offices, SLDCADA and DCPS Administrators, HR and DFAS representatives.
You will use N-ERP labor/payroll processing, reconciliation, sales orders, cost allocations and PEC.
You will provide direct N-ERP training and assistance to users.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. This certification level must be achieved within prescribed timelines.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
Qualifications
GS-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
-Experience using job-relevant information systems and/or software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the Internet.
-Experience utilizing integrated federal financial management systems and sub-systems to extract data, identify and resolve system problems, and maintain data integrity.
-Experience preparing, reviewing and reconciling financial statements and financial reports to meet reporting requirements and to support management decisions.
-Experience managing, allocating and monitoring financial resources in compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, with sufficient transparency and appropriate internal controls to ensure these resources are efficiently applied to meet organizational goals and objectives, while considering the Federal Government's fiduciary duty to the Nation.
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
