This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Coast Guard, Assistant Commandant for Acquisition (CG-9), Program Executive Officer (CG-93), Office of Aviation Acquisitions (CG-931), Washington, D.C.
Duties
You will serve as Deputy Program Manager on the H-65 Conversion/Sustainment Program, responsible for the planning, organization, execution, and coordination of assigned acquisition program(s), in accordance with approved charters and applicable policies and procedures. You will also: contribute to the accomplishment of USCG/CG-93 mission, goals, and objectives by strategic direction and effective implementation of the objectives of assigned acquisition program(s); support the planning and development of acquisition efforts, business, and organizational administrative operations; and provide direction on a wide range of program issues essential to the efficient operation of CG-93.

Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-14: Applicants must possess specialized experience equivalent to 1 year of experience at the next lower grade level (GS-13) that is similar to experience gained in the Federal sector. Examples of specialized experience include:
Establishing guidelines for performance expectations and evaluating performance of staff members
Coordinating budget submissions, obligation and expenditure plans, and implementation strategies
Preparing reports and other presentations on project planning, evaluation, and execution
Originating and establishing unique methods and applications that provide innovative solutions to complex business issues.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
