This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Capital Access in one of the ten centers throughout the nation. Serves as the Lead Financial Analyst of the SBA Credit Risk Management Team responsible for leading initiative for the Agency.

Duties

Provides leadership, planning, project coordination and technical guidance for the development and implementation of risk-based examinations/reviews with SBA's Loan Program Requirements for SBA's 7(a) Regulated Lenders and SBA Supervised Institutions. Serves as Lead Financial Analyst for a staff of contractors or other SBA financial analysts who perform financial analysis, performance assessment and regulatory compliance for risk-based review activities in order to mitigate the agency's risk against poor credit and poor loan portfolios. Uses advanced analytical and evaluative methods in order to evaluate the program goals, accomplishments, and effectiveness. Functions as the senior-expert level advisor and recognized spokesperson for assigned activities, reviews and evaluations. Develops narrative or statistical reports for financial reviews or risk-based assessments.

Qualifications

GS-14: One year of specialized experience to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the public or private sector: advices on work methods, practices and procedures while leading teams and/or staff in identifying to viable solutions; experience with lender oversight activities and using credit risk factors and/or commercial lending principles involved in loans guaranteed by the Federal activities within an organization.
