You will serve as an Engineering Technician in the Engineering Department of SOUTHEAST REG MAINTENANCE CTR SERMC.
Duties
You will provide integrated shipboard test management
You will review, acceptance and oversight of the contractor’s development of the Integrated Total Ship Test Management Plan (ITMP).
You will coordinate with Project Manager to ensure the Integrated Test Plan reflects the prime contractor’s test requirements and all other test provided via Government Furnished Information.
You will provide assessment inspection and testing information as Government Furnished Information to the Lead Maintenance Activity for inclusion into the Integrated Production Schedule and ITP.
You will review Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) for completed tests and evaluate results for completeness, accuracy and to make a determination of acceptance.
You will review original availability work items, new work items and growth work items to insure that testing requirements in the specifications are adequate to prove the work performed is satisfactory and in accordance with the requirements.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Applying knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering to consider overall aspects related to testing and evaluation of ships systems; developing schedules with project engineers, test site personnel and other organizations involved in testing events; ensuring non-conformances are documented, appropriate actions taken to resolve and are technically adjudicated; reviewing original availability work items, new work, and growth items to ensure that testing requirements in the specifications are adequate to prove the work performed is satisfactory; collaborating with contractors and maintenance teams to resolve testing related problems. .
