About the Position: You will serve as an Interior Designer for Facilities Management Division. Assignments involve performance of office and field interior design duties including in-house design, design of furniture, fixtures, equipment and graphics packages, and resolution of interior design problems encountered during project construction. This position may be telework eligible in accordance with OPM and DoD regulations, local policy, and approval by the supervisor.

Duties

Prepare interior design analysis and specifications related to prewired workstations (systems furniture), interior finishes and features. Research current design resource library to include up-to-date samples of interior building finishes and materials, furniture, equipment, and product literature. Prepare complete interior design drawings and documents in compliance with governing criteria and project requirements. Act as liaison between using agencies, architect-engineer firms and other government and non-government activities. Participate in periodic and special inspections during construction and/or upon completion of projects.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires incumbent to hold a SECRET Security clearance.
  • You may be expected to travel (TDY) up to 25% annually for this position.
  • Responsible for observing all safety rules, regulations, and directives applicable to the work environment and various assignments.
