You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the Southwest Region Fleet Transportation Division, Region Supply of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.
Duties
You will provide supply support to SWRFT's non-tactical vehicle and equipment (NTV) operations and maintenance.
You will maintain supply system records and files include electronic and paper records, case file, correspondence and administrative files and key supporting documentation .
You will requisition supplies and parts which are often special or custom items which require expedited shipping or special handling.
You will research and gather information of supply transactions, you will determine the reason for any supply data disparities and make recommendations to correct supply processes, procedures and records.
You will perform analysis of programs and problems associated with Automated Information Systems (AIS) supporting garrison supply operations.
You will determine the appropriate source to procure goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, parts and supplies, doing extensive research to locate the correct and most cost effective items, available substitutes and new products.
You will perform as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for all contracts assigned , determining requirements, developing work statements and ensuring complete coverage of the required services or goods.

- This is a Bargaining Unit Position.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You are required to possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
- You may be required to lift/carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing supply support through acquisition of supplies and services, storage, issue and accountability of supplies, contract monitoring and maintenance of supply systems files and records.
